A minha primeira rela\u00e7\u00e3o rom\u00e2ntica durou 16 anos. Conhecemo-nos quando t\u00ednhamos apenas 18 anos, e n\u00e3o faz\u00edamos ideia do que est\u00e1vamos a fazer.\n\nMas am\u00e1vamo-nos, profundamente. Tamb\u00e9m \u00e9ramos os melhores amigos.\n\nNo entanto, ao contr\u00e1rio do que tantas vezes nos dizem, isso n\u00e3o chega para uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o plena (ou pelo menos funcional).
\u00c9ramos demasiado jovens, demasiado imaturos emocionalmente no in\u00edcio.\n\nQuase todas as discuss\u00f5es come\u00e7avam com algo m\u00ednimo e acabavam por escalar at\u00e9 que um de n\u00f3s terminava com o outro.\n\nPassados alguns dias, est\u00e1vamos exaustos de estar zangados e volt\u00e1vamos a ficar juntos.
Os anos passaram, as discuss\u00f5es continuaram, e os t\u00e9rminos foram (quase) totalmente substitu\u00eddos pelo sil\u00eancio, amuos ou comunica\u00e7\u00f5es dolorosas, que \u00e0s vezes duravam semanas.
Transformei a maioria desses sentimentos em letras e can\u00e7\u00f5es.\n\nTocava suavemente a minha guitarra el\u00e9trica, noite dentro, porque n\u00e3o conseguia dormir \u2014 assombrada por aquilo que parecia uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o imposs\u00edvel.\n\nCantava o que n\u00e3o conseguia dizer, muitas vezes enquanto chorava. A m\u00fasica era a minha fuga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Transformei a maioria desses sentimentos em letras e can\u00e7\u00f5es.\n\nTocava suavemente a minha guitarra el\u00e9trica, noite dentro, porque n\u00e3o conseguia dormir \u2014 assombrada por aquilo que parecia uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o imposs\u00edvel.\n\nCantava o que n\u00e3o conseguia dizer, muitas vezes enquanto chorava. A m\u00fasica era a minha fuga.
Lancei algumas dessas m\u00fasicas (Passado Presente<\/a>, Longe<\/a>, Depress\u00e3o<\/a>, What Tha Hell<\/a>, Time Stood Still<\/a>), mas outras eram demasiado pesadas emocionalmente, portanto guardei-as para mim.
Quando a minha jornada de cura emocional come\u00e7ou, comecei a ver as coisas com mais clareza; e com essa clareza, percebi o que tinha de fazer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Com a separa\u00e7\u00e3o veio o luto; luto n\u00e3o s\u00f3 pelo fim da rela\u00e7\u00e3o, mas tamb\u00e9m do meu lar, da cidade que foi a minha casa por 16 anos, o est\u00fadio e local de trabalho constru\u00eddo de ra\u00edz, mas o luto mais duro de todos foi sem d\u00favida o luto pelo meu melhor amigo. N\u00e3o poder falar com ele como de costume. E depois, v\u00ea-lo seguir em frente t\u00e3o r\u00e1pidamente, construir uma fam\u00edlia, ser pai.
Mais uma vez, fiz o que fa\u00e7o melhor: transmutei essas emo\u00e7\u00f5es em m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Eventualmente, comecei a sentir mais seguran\u00e7a no meu processo, e decidi n\u00e3o s\u00f3 partilhar algumas dessas composi\u00e7\u00f5es como tamb\u00e9m reflec\u00e7\u00f5es sobre rela\u00e7\u00f5es, crescimento pessoal e vida no geral no podcast \"Reflections Of A (Slightly) Conscious Being<\/a>\". E com isso, tornou-se claro que o pr\u00f3ximo passo seria um \u00e1lbum com essas m\u00fasicas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Lutei com essa ideia durante algum tempo.\n\nAlgumas m\u00fasicas estavam inacabadas, e outras carregavam mensagens com as quais j\u00e1 n\u00e3o me identificava.\n\nDuvidei de mim mesma.\n\nDeveria lan\u00e7ar can\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e3o dolorosas? Obrigar-me a termin\u00e1-las, a reviver uma dor que me \u00e9 t\u00e3o familiar e, ainda assim, t\u00e3o dif\u00edcil de suportar?
Depois, olhei \u00e0 minha volta. Tantas pessoas presas nos mesmos padr\u00f5es. A sentir as mesmas emo\u00e7\u00f5es que eu senti.\n\nPensei em como a m\u00fasica me ajudou a lidar com toda essa dor \u2014 n\u00e3o s\u00f3 a criar, mas tamb\u00e9m a ouvir can\u00e7\u00f5es de outros artistas, m\u00fasicas que ressoavam com a dor que eu carregava por dentro.\n\nE ent\u00e3o senti-me ego\u00edsta.\n\nPorque \u00e9 que haveria de guardar estas can\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00f3 para mim? Sabendo que talvez, s\u00f3 talvez, uma delas possa ajudar algu\u00e9m que esteja \u00e0 procura de uma can\u00e7\u00e3o com a qual se identifique, com a qual possa chorar, ou cantar at\u00e9 que as l\u00e1grimas se transformem noutra coisa.
Este \u00e1lbum \u00e9 para todos eles \u2014 e, para ser honesta, \u00e9 para todos n\u00f3s.\n\nPorque todos, em algum momento da vida, j\u00e1 nos sentimos n\u00e3o amados.\n\nTodos j\u00e1 nos sentimos abandonados, tra\u00eddos, exclu\u00eddos, inadequados, insuficientes, partidos, imperfeitos, est\u00fapidos, feios\u2026 e por a\u00ed fora.\n\n\u00c0s vezes culpamos os outros por isso. Outras vezes, culpamo-nos a n\u00f3s mesmos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Eu n\u00e3o sou diferente.\n\nAfinal, somos apenas humanos \u2014 e \u00e9 exatamente disso que este \u00e1lbum fala: das rela\u00e7\u00f5es humanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
